Update on Cons I will be attending

I'm canceling out of Dragon*con for various reasons, but the number one reason is I really can't leave home right now.

I am planning on attending Fencon, MileHiCon and WorldFantasy.

Help! Anyone here grow a garden or plants for their cats?

Email me directly at margaretbonham [AT] aol.com ASAP.  It's for an article.

UPDATE: Got what I needed! Thanks!

BTW, if you feed your cat organic or natural cat food, email me.

Miserably hot

Today was a hot day.  In Missoula, the high was 99F, which is ridiculous.  I suspect we were less hot, but not by much.  Tomorrow is supposed to be just as hot.  Then, we're going for a cool-down and into the 70's and even 60's as highs, which will be a blessing.

I stayed at home and worked on my articles.  Tomorrow, I'll probably do that as well -- with a quick foray into town.  Beyond that, I'm hoping just to stay cool.

Another Saturday; another market

Last night I pounded through 500 words on the novel, which I needed to do.  After getting most of the WolfSongs acceptances out, I felt as if I deserved a little writing time and forced myself to get about 500 words written.   Nothing major -- but it was good enough.  Last night I was awake due to Mishka whining about no water; drinking all her water; and then whining about no water.  Then, came the coughing fit.  So, I ended up sleeping on the couch to give husband some well deserved rest after I took some of my prescription cough syrup.

Today I went to the market and bought beans, dragon beans, salad mix, broccoli, tomatoes, cherries, raspberries, strawberries, huckleberries, cantaloupe, watermelon, zucchini, carrots, ground  bison, cheese, butter, and bacon.  The huckleberries were typically expensive at $40/5 lbs but since I have no desire to fight over huckleberries with bears and other pickers, I consider the money combat pay.  Plus it's very hard to find huckleberry in the stores, so you just have to plan on buying it.  The last of the flathead cherries are gone too, which means that my freezer full of cherries will have to last through the winter.  I'll probably be making cherry desserts with those fruits.

Tonight I'll be working on the articles that are due.  Hopefully, I'll be able to get something done.

Slowly I grind...

Tonight I finally got more of the acceptances, rejections and holds on WolfSongs.  The only ones I didn't get out are the ones where the person failed to put their email addresses in their document.  Tomorrow after market, I will sit down and grind that out.  Then I must get hte two articles due that are late because of my sick spouse out and try to relax and get my novels worked on.

Yeah, I'm feeling pretty tired.  But at least I'll get things done.

Still haven't made up my mind about Dragon*con.
